My beads are created by a process know as lampwork, in which glass rods are heated at high temperature in a flame generated by a torch, then wrapped around mandrels to give the glass the form of a bead with a hole. My beads are annealed in a kiln for long lasting strength.

Besides the thrill of working with an open flame and designing with liquid glass, I hope to create colorful, playful jewelry that makes the wearer beam and smile when they put it on.

My beads are created in my studio in Branford, CT, along the Connecticut shoreline. I recently switched from a Hot Head torch to a Carlisle Mini CC (which I love!). I use Moretti, Vetrofond, Lauscha, (CIM) Messy glass.
